Summer Studio - Summer 2015
This project is the design of a dwelling, shop and workshop for two florists. “Concrete garden” incorporates the couple’s love for nature and gardening into their daily lives and routines, through the use of garden balconies and transparency. The use of glass allows them to view the gardens from the inside, as well as allowing the pedestrians to see what is happening inside the shop, gardens and workshop. The use of levels allows the occupants and guests of the house to connect to nature in its various forms. They are able to witness the process of the florists from the natural mountains to the creation of bouquets, serving as ornaments.
